"Dancing in the Grass" of my two youngest granddaughters, dressed in their pink tutus...expressing themselves on a late summer afternoon...just being two-year-olds without a care in the world.

"At the Seashore" will be shown at a Show on Childhood at the Cahoon Museum of American Art that starts on February 2.

This is a painting of my two oldest granddaughters, wading in the still-warm waters of East Bay at the end of last summer. The girls were returning to school soon, leaving the lovely idle days of summer behind them. Paintings of childern are a favorite subject of mine, and I take special pleasure in painting my own grandchildren.
